Library Information
Library Check Out
Each 1st grade, 2nd grade and full day kindergarten class is scheduled for one 35 minute session each week and each half day kindergarten class for one 20-minute session..  Each library class includes a story time or library skills activity, check out, overdue check, and quiet reading or activities.  K-1st grade students may check out one book each week.  2nd grade students may check out two books each week.  Books must be returned each week before new books are allowed to be checked out.
Overdue, Lost or Damaged Books
All of our students have been instructed in the proper care and treatment of books and have accepted the responsibility for the care of the books while checked out to them.  We ask you as parents to support our students by noting what day is your child's library day, placing the books in a safe place at home and helping them to remember to return the book the next week.

After the second overdue week, your child will receive a purple reminder notice attached to their book information.  After that, a green notice will be sent home with instructions.  We always prefer that the original book be returned but in the case that a book is lost or damaged, we provide the following options:

  • You may replace the exact book
  • You may replace it with a book of similar subject matter, author and price.  The replacement book should be in good condition.
  • Or, you may pay for the cost of the book

If any of these options are a hardship to you, please contact us in the library at 360-563-4613.

We appreciate your support in helping us keep our collection complete!  Thank you!
